I will have to cancel this months meetup. Too much going on for me and it looks like most of you are still pretty busy too. I am still trying to recover from Ike. The Jetty Shack is still there, I drove by on Friday. They have no coolers and I'm not sure what else was destroyed. Pretty much everything at Surfside is out of comission for the moment. The Jetty Shack told me they will be open sometime in November (probably). Castaways should be open any time now. Hammerheads is open for business now. I finally passed my chief mates test at the Coast Guard on Friday. Now all I have to do is pass the flashing light (morse code) test and I will get my license! I plan to study on board and go back to the Coast Guard as soon as I get in. I am leaving tomorrow to go back to work so I will not be at any of the events for awhile. Hope you all feel free to go to any by yourselves! I will try to schedule another monthly meetup for when I get back in November.
