Our practice outings include: sunset sails, casual fun regattas, Bay cruises, loops around an island, sail to SF city front. It's easy to make sailing friends here! We were the original sailing Meetup group in the Bay Area, and are the largest. We try to offer inexpensive sailing opportunities for everyone. Many of our events are free. You don't have to know how to sail to be part of the group. People with boats usually always welcome guests aboard to help pull ropes and turn cranks and pass out beer. That is called "crewing". The purpose of this meetup group is to promote and share the passions of sailing. Anyo …

Going out on the Bay in a comfortable safe boat: teaching a little sailing, talking a little history and really leaving the hardworld behind, if only for a short time. We can keep it casual or maybe do a Corinthian Yacht Club Friday Night "Beer Can" race- in Tiburon; a very low-key event, and I don't try to win, just stay with the tail of the fleet.. Barbecue on the club deck after.

Harmonia is always on the look out for extraordinary places to practice yoga. When I saw the Luxury 90 ft yacht called The Empress I thought what a blissful space to offer Yoga & meditative community practice. To be surrounded by the beautiful views, peaceful sounds, and gorgeous water, who would pass this up? Gerry generously opened up his yacht to me and gave the community a chance to experience what it's like to own your own private luxury yacht! Now you have the chance to experience the divi …

Macro-Description ... This group presents an opportunity to experience -- rather than think.A cursory definition of meditation is transcendence beyond the distracted, entropic meanderings of the 'mind' -- and resultant connection to Consciousness / Infinite Connectedness / One-ness. Restatement of the obvious - water represents the fathoms of our spiritual nature. Meditation is supported by the energetic fabric and rhythm of a body of water ... especially one as large and consummate as the Pacif …

I decided to start this group for a bunch of reasons! First of all people just have to see the San Francisco Bay from the water. There a new world awaits, a new perspective, new sights, sounds, smells. Looking up at the Golden Gate Bridge, seeing dolphins and whales with new friends. Operation of a sailing vessel, plotting and steering a course, raising, triming and stowing sails, cleating lines, dropping anchor, navagating throughout the Bay and the California Coast are all reasons for starting …
