I started this group because I love fishing and it's overlooked as a fun social event. It has a bad reputation, women think it has to be yucky, lol, which isn't true. The purpose of the group is social, we would actually meet often to eat, drink, and plan fishing trips. We could go fishing as often as there is interest but I wouldn't think more than 3-4 times from April to October. DON'T fret ladies about baiting the hook or touching the fish, lol, as there are party boats and private charters …

I'm new to Lake Hopatcong, but I've have realized my dream by getting a lake house with a boat. I like water skiing, or tubing if the lake is too rough. I'd like to try wake-boarding. Fishing is cool, so is just anchoring or floating around and soaking in the sun. Hoping to gather a on-going group of like-minded folks on the lake, or those willing to make the trip.

We go everywhere: the Hudson from Englewood to Saugerties, Harriman Park, Lake Cayuga and more. It easily fits inside our small cars. Sometimes the water is churned up with big swells -- especially the Hudson. We never feel any danger because …

Not too long ago "living off the grid" and "sustainable living" was considered by many to be an unusual alternative lifestyle only for "hippies" and communal living. However to several generations before us, this “do it yourself” lifestyle was the norm. In recent years times have changed dramatically with the latest recession and soaring inflation rates on necessities such as food, gas and many other crucial living expenses.
